Contest Description and Duration
1. These rules govern all aspects of the "Win $500 with Acadia General Insurance" contest and are binding on the participants.
2. The "Win $500 with Acadia General Insurance" contest is organized by Acadia General Insurance (hereinafter called AGI) and runs from
Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 12:01 am to Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:59 pm.
Eligibility
3. This contest is open exclusively to residents of New Brunswick who have reached 19 years of age by June 1, 2011. Employees, managers, volunteers, representatives and agents of AGI and anyone residing with any of these individuals are not eligible.
How to Participate
4. Any transaction conducted within contest period allows the participant to be eligible for the monthly draw at the location where the transaction was made. Transactions include purchases of new policies, renewals and requests for insurance quotes. No purchase required.
Each eligible transaction provides a chance to win.
Prizes
5. A total of seven (7) $500 prizes will be awarded to the winners.
6. Prizes will be drawn at random from all of the eligible transactions received during the month preceding the draw. Draws will be held on the first day of each month or any subsequent date if it is impossible to conduct the draw on those dates. The chances of winning depend on the number of eligible participants who have met contest rules and the number of eligible entries.
7. To be declared winners, participants who are selected at random will be contacted by AGI by telephone within 15 days following the date of the draw and they will have to correctly answer, without help and within a limited period of time, a mathematical skill-testing questions that they will be asked over the phone. Moreover, they will have to sign the declaration and exoneration of responsibility form that will be sent to them by the contest organizers by mail, fax or e-mail and return it to the latter within fifteen (15) days of receiving it. Failure to meet any of the conditions mentioned above or any other condition mentioned in these rules will result in any person chosen being disqualified, and the next participant selected will be contacted, and so on, until all winners have been declared.
8. The time for awarding the prize as well as all related details will be determined by the AGI representative.
General Conditions
9. By accepting the prize, winners agree to comply with these rules and the final rulings of AGI who is administering the contest.
10. The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be transferred to another person or substituted for another prize.
11. AGI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate the contest if events beyond its control prevent it from being continued. In such a case, it cannot be held liable.
12. By accepting the prize, all winners authorize AGI to use their name, place of residence, photograph, image, voice and statement regarding the prize for advertising purposes, without any remuneration whatsoever.
13. Winners' refusal to accept prizes releases AGI from all obligations.
14. Winners exempt contest organizers from any liability with regard to damages that could result from their participation in the contest, or from winning or using the prize.
15. All personal information obtained from participants will be used for contest administration purposes only. No advertising communication or other type of communication unrelated to this contest will be sent to the participant.
16. Contest rules are available from AGI on the www.assuranceacadie.com Web site.
17. Should the French and English versions of these Contest Rules differ, the French version shall prevail.
18. The contest is subject to all applicable laws in the province of New Brunswick.
